Eric was present from the Breezy Point Police Dept., he handed out the June report. The host arrived at the Pelican Beach site on July 6th, beach was busy over the July 4th weekend, Eric said he did kick some people out after hours that had alcohol., otherwise everything seems to be fine.  Eric said he had a request from Jack Krenzen who lives on Co. Rd 4 to do a speed study to see if we can get the speed limit lowered from 55 as he feels that is way to fast for that part of the road. B. Galles will contact Duane Blanck from the County Hwy Dept. to see when the last study was done and if another one could be done. This is a county road and not a township road.

Bills to be paid were presented, T. Rice made a motion to pay all bills, seconded by J. Johnson, motion carried.

Correspondences were read: Primary and General Elections are coming up and time again to choose election judges, did receive 2 names from the Republican Party for judges, which we are required to choose them first.  By general consensus we will pay the judges $7.00 hr. unless the statutory limit is more than that, which we  will then pay the judges that wage.

Road Report: T. Rice did check with Kay who works with the E911 addressing, she said that the Road Cree Bay Circle will remain that name.  Rice also reported that the DNR said we would need to hire an engineer for the work we want done on Channel Lane,  if we want to apply for any grant money for this project. T. Rice talked to the County and we may see if Rob Hall the County Engineer would be able to do the engineering for this project. Anderson Brothers still have not given an estimate on the road project.

Sanitary Service District still talking over issues. County is going to establish the district and all townships that were slated for the District will be included in the District.

Dog Ordinance:  J. Johnson gave report, it will cost $2.50 per person within the township and we will have a dog catcher come in.

Zoning: None

Old Business:  Discussion held if we could recover any of our costs from the Pelican Beach Road issue. Will revisit this issue again at a later date.

New Business: J. Johnson reported that at the Crow Wing County Commissioners meeting they stated that the County did not have enough money to purchase the Schoenhost property. J. Johnson said that Mission is possibly interested in this and may be willing to go half on purchasing the Schoenhost property. J. Johnson will talk with  Schoenhost to let him know that we are still interested in the land and will check with Mission Township to make sure they are interested yet. He will report back at the August meeting.
Road Utility Ordinance discussed. J. Johnson made a motion to accept and approve the road utility ordinance effective 30 days after publication, seconded by T. Rice, motion carried.
Dental Plan discussion held, Clerk will check with Tony Loberg as to what they have for dental plan now, as we would need to included all officers and employees in this plan if we take it.

Respectfully Submitted,
